Lyra Technology Group is seeking a Systems Engineer for one of our operating companies , Network Doctor. This position is a dual role, providing Onsite Technical Support 3 days per week, and Remote Technical Support 2 days per week.

Network Doctor is an IT managed services firm where company culture and teamwork are essential. The firm provides IT support to hundreds of SMB companies, across a diverse range of industries including finance, healthcare, real estate, non-profit, and others.

Your work as a Systems Engineer will includes several components:

• Maintain a first-class level of customer service

• Design, build, migrate and maintain modern enterprise networks and systems, including hardware

• Update SharePoint sites, manage permissions, and storage.

• Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade VMware server hosts

• Configure and manage Windows Server & Active Directory

• Manage networking Infrastructure

• Troubleshoot Financial Application maintenance

• Administer Microsoft Office 365/Exchange Online/Azure and Entra ID & filtering solutions

• Configure & manage Windows Servers & Exchange Servers with PowerShell

• Administer and configure NAS and SAN technologies from various vendors

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment - routers, firewall, switches, wireless access points, and SSL-VPN setups from various vendors, such as Cisco, Extreme, HP, Meraki, Netgear, SonicWALL, UniFi.

• Provide Disaster Recovery and backup solutions and support using Datto, Veeam, Shadow Protect, eVault, Zerto, and others.

• Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems

• Maintain detailed inventory of installed software and licensing

• Communicate with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.

• Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions.

Our ideal Systems Engineer has the following qualifications:

• 2 + years technical experience relevant to the above

• Substantial experience with Windows Servers

• Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts

• Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units

• Clearly demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware and Citrix XenApp

• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills

• MSP experience is a plus

• Familiarity with the ConnectWise Suite of products is helpful but not a requirement
